Family Time

We had a Lovely Weekend in Old Forge.
Go ahead... click on the picture. I left it nice and BIG so you can see all of the details :)

It was at this "cabin" for the lack of a better word. Actually there is a better description... Mini Log Mansion. We were given carte blanche to it for as long as we could stay. And we know where they keep the key. That could be scary for them wonderful for us! Needless to say we had a great time. Just our family. All the kids playing together in harmonious bliss. Yeah, I know you know I am kidding. It sounds good though!

They did get along well enough to get this great shot. I love self timers! :)

Blinded by the Light

Now that the spring is here full force and summer looming over the horizon, my kitchen table has so much more illumination! In the morning there is a bit of routine for me. After I get my cup 'o joe, I sit down to have some time in the Bible. I love having the heat of the sun on my back, and no need for the kitchen lights to be on because it is so bright on the pages. Similar to looking at a bright light or a camera flash, it is so intense on the white of my Bible that I often have blinded eyes if I look any where but on the words.

That got me thinking to the spiritual application of this. The truth of the word of God should illuminate my sight. I should allow it to be the brightest thing my eyes see, even blinding me to the things around me that maybe would cause me to doubt, stumble or be critical.

That I would trust God so much that I would not rely on my natural sight, but walk in the Light as He is in the Light.

That His word would be a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.

Just seeing those verses in a "new light" !

Puppies and such

If you actually come to this blog as opposed to reading it on a feed, you will see we are under construction. Soon... I hope... we will look put together!

But! I told you Molly had four little puppies and have yet to post pictures so...

Here they are line-up style. Three weeks old- hearing and sighted now! We name them to keep them straight, so in order...
Maggie, Max, Jitters and Minnie

Each child has their favorite. This is Si with Maggie. She is the tiniest of them all- only 1lb 3 oz right now.

Savannah Loves Jitters. We names him that because he is ALL BLACK and looked like a coffee bean! He is the largest of the bunch- almost 2 lbs!

Micah's companion is Minnie. Named such not because she is the smallest, but because her ears stuck straight out, and she looked like Minnie Mouse.

If you are stressed out, just give a call and come over to hold one. They have an amazing ability to relax you! So sweet! And their breath really does smell like a skunk- so be prepared!
